Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
and Control Plan Methodology

Quality management system (QMS) standards include direct and indirect references to APQP and Control Plans. Refer to the following documents:

APQP is a structured process of defining and establishing the product realization steps necessary to assure that the product satisfies the customer. The goal of APQP is to facilitate effective communication with everyone involved to assure that all required process steps are effective, efficient, and completed on time. Effective APQP and Control Plan development depends on top management's commitment to the effort required in achieving customer satisfaction.

We encourage our course participants to bring their APQP and Control Plan issues to the course. Our most requested arrangement is the 1-day APQP and Control Plan introduction course combined with our 1.5-day FMEA and 0.5-day PPAP courses. These courses are geared (as much as reasonably possible) towards the specific needs and expectations of the participants. Small group discussions and customized (company-specific) exercises are used to help participants internalize, and immediately apply what has been taught.
